Mud Hiking

Not sure why some of these photos are out of focus, but I am using them anyway. Everyone wanted to see my ridiculous pink wellies.

As usual, the Little Bean has rather interesting clothing choices. Here she was sporting a black dress, a pink tutu, pink sweatpants, red wellies, a purple jacket and a lovely flower hat. She thought she looked pretty fancy. We agreed.
The hiking trails around here are also "public bridleways" or horse trails. There is a barn and field next to the trailhead. We walked over to look at the horses and the owner was there. She let us pet her horses and even let Sophie sit on a little kid saddle. Of course she balked when it came time to sit on the saddle. The Baby Bean took full advantage of the opportunity and even started bouncing up and down like he was riding the horse. The peoploe who owned the horses thought it was super cute.
Some parts of the hiking trail were complete mud pits. They don't make knee high wellies for little ones, so the mud was actually deeper than the top of her boots! She loved it.
