Dance! Dance! Dance!

If you are ever in doubt about what to wear to a concert, or any event, just ask Phia!
"The Beach Boys Inc," a band playing beach boys music came to a little outdoor amphitheatre near our village. I was sure the kids would love to hear the music, but underestimated just how much. The venue was out in the middle of no-where and the open air theatre was on the side of a hill on a working farm/B&B. It went from 2000 to 2200 so the kids dressed in their jams. Naturally, Soph had to pick out her own outfit, which turned out to be pretty interesting. In addition to a nightgown, she added jam pants and a put a summer dress on top of everything. She was certainly prepared for the chilly night air.

When we arrived, the concert had already started and the kids were dancing as we walked down to the theatre. Not two minutes after we sat down, both little ones were down in the dancing area in front of the band showing off their moves!
They played a lot of our favorites tunes...the ones we have kitchen dance offs to, so the Daddy and Mama were forced to join in the dancing!

After the intermission everyone got into the dancing mood and the area in front of the band got a bit crowded. Most of the people at the concert were in their 50s and 60s and they were dancing machines!! It was fantastic to watch them enjoy the music and teach the youngsters how to dance "old school"...really old school.

All in all, the evening was absolutely fantastic. No tantrums, no crying, no whining, NOTHING! Just two hours of nearly non stop dancing and two very sleepy kids.
Soph made friends with Layla. They were in separable for the entire the night!
Hank would get so excited when dancing that he would just start jumping up and down. Here he is catching air!
