Uncle Giant!

The outfit above (Sophia) was a gift from her Uncle Giant (my brother).  Friday we headed up to the nearest base to pick up our mail and found a box from Uncle Giant and Uncle K.  Uncle K is really Auntie, but Soph insists on calling her Uncle.  Anyway, in the box we found a treasure trove of loot brought home from Afghanistan.  Uncle Giant was deployed there and just got home this month.  We are all super excited that he made it home safely.  Sophia was super excited about the brightly colored outfit complete with sequins and dangly bead things. 

She insisted she be allowed to put the outfit on the second she saw it.  I told her we had to wait until we got to the px, so she clutched it in her little paws as tight as possible until we got to the px.  This photo was taken right outside the restroom at the px where she HAD to change.  As you can imagine, we got loads of comments on her outfit.  Not in the photo was a bright red shawl/hair covering thing that Sophia wore for a few minutes until she determined it was too much trouble to keep on her head.

Hank-o got an outfit too, but was not a crazy about changing that very second as his sister.  Hopefully, we can get both of them in their Afghan apparel and get some photos.

A big thanks to Uncle Giant for our loot.  Another big thanks to Uncle K for all the other miscellaneous loot in the boxes. Soph has already colored her Aurora poster.  The felt around the edges really helps her to keep her marks in the lines!
