Low Tide

The weather around here is strange.  This photo was taken just a week or so ago and it was FREEZING!  The wind was blowing, the sky was cloudy and the temps were chilly.  This week, it is hot!

My favorite time to visit the water is a low tide.  There are so many cool things to see.  We can catch little baby crabs, see little fishy things, and watch the snails speed along.  As there are only two places on the water that are dog friendly in the summer we can choose to go to the beach or to the estuary.  Both are super cool and super fun for both two legged and four legged critters.  Sadly, the days of Daisy and her frisbee are slowly coming to a close.  With her diabetes comes cataracts, and with cataracts comes the inability to see her frisbee or even the general location of the frisbee.  This trip to the estuary resulting in me throwing the frisbee and the Soph, me, and Daisy running to retrieve it.
We all had our wellies on, but Sophia's do little to no good.  She generally goes into the deeper water and then her wellies turn into boot shaped water bowls.  She squelches around and eventually just takes off her shoes altogether.  It doesn't seem to matter how cold the water is, she just can't help herself.
