Apple Crisp - Fall Is Here!

The neighbor gave us a bag of cooking apples from his trees last week so Soph and I decided to bake up some apple crisp/apple crumble.  As you can tell from the photo above she was a little excited to get started.

Sophia's job was to mix the sliced/peeled apples together with the caramel/butterscotch deliciousness.  You can also see that Sophia was sneaking tastes of the caramel butterscotch as some of it is stuck to her chin!

While the ladies were hard at work in the kitchen the boys were in the living room watching choo choo trains on the computer.

Our finished masterpiece!  I actually got the idea to do this from our friend M who made rhubarb crumble for us once while visiting.  Thanks M!

p.s. we have been super crazy busy at the beany house lately and we haven't been very good at keeping the blog updated.  Things have slowed down a little bit and Daddy is home from his extended work absence so we are able to get caught up with all the blogs and photos and stuff!
