Thanksgiving Feast

The children had a Thanksgiving feast at their school today. It was clear they had spent the last week learning about Thanksgiving and preparing all sorts of projects and festive outfits.
Hank had a pilgrim hat and a really cute placemat and turkey jar. Each feather on his turkey listed things he was thankful for. My favorite was "alligators".
Sophia's class learned all about native Americans. They were each given Indian names! Sophia was Sunny Cloud indicating her changing moods! They also rubbed paper bags with wax and cut fringe to look like animal skin ponchos! They even drew different designs on them that looked just like cave art!
