New Stuff
This weekend has been rough. If a tooth doesn't appear soon, then I am not going to have a reason for the recent behavior. Diarrhea, 103 degree fevers, drooling... The child doesn't seem sick, but with all of these symptoms, things aren't right. So far, no tooth.
About this diarrhea. So there we were, sitting outside while the Pap grilled on the BBQ. All of a sudden, we hear a very disturbing sound, that made me laugh and call 'safe' from changing what I knew was going to be a big poopie diaper. A second later, I looked up at the Gran, who was just sitting there in shock. The Little Bean had been sitting on her lap. Apparently, the poopie wasn't a regular one. It had been so forceful that an arc of poop shot up out of the back of her diaper, and landed all over the Gran's legs. I believe this is what they mean when they say "explosive diarrhea."
On to less poop related things. As most of you guys know, we have been doing sign language with the little bean since she was super little. The past couple of days, we noticed that she has begun using the sign for milk. At first we thought it was just a fluke and that she was just opening and closing her hands. Now it has happened about four times when she was hungry. The first time, she had been fussing, and opening and closing her hands, and then taken a bottle. Then later tonight, she was grumping, and I looked at her and asked if she was hungry, she made the milk sign. I gave her a bottle and she chugged away. So, it still may be just her opening and closing her hands, but I guess we will see as she either continues to do it or not.
Today's picture is of the Little Bean playing in her little swimming pool. Since we have such a drought, we just put a little bit of water in there. She didn't care. She splashed and played around.
