Serious About Watermelon

So far in her six months of life, the Little Bean has only stumbled upon one food that she doesn't care for; green beans. She really hates those things and is super dramatic when I put them in her mouth. She gags, and coughs, and generally acts ridiculous. With that one exception, the Little Bean has not met a food she doesn't like.

The other night, was her first taste of meat. A friend of the Gran's said that we shouldn't purchase much meat baby food because children do not like it. Little Bean begs to differ. She gobbled up the chicken just like she gobbles up anything else that is put in or near her mouth.

Today, the Gran was eating watermelon, and we thought we would see what the little one thought about it. She absolutely loved it. She not only loved it, but began gnawing on it like it was her job. Note the very serious look on her face as she crams the watermelon into her little beany mouth. It was the funniest thing to see her eating that watermelon. She was so into it that she just couldn't be bothered with anything else. I guess it was because watermelon is so sweet, but regardless, it was totally cute to see her crinkle up her nose in concentration as she ate that stuff.
