Trouble Is Her Middle Name

I have finally discovered that the Little Bean and her brother, the Puppy Bean are planning and plotting behind my back. The goal of their deviousness is food. Food is the one thing that both puppy and little bean love the most. The Big Bean is not a part of their group as she is older and knows how to get food without stooping to their level.

Today, they unleashed their diabolical plan on me. The goal of their efforts was fudge that my aunt had given us. We had put it on the bench in the foyer where the Husband was going to take it to work.

The whole thing went like this....

The Puppy Bean whined and whined, begging to go outside. He went to the front door and cried and cried. I finally gave in, even though he had just been out a few minutes before, put him on his leash and out the front door. Normally, the Little Bean stands at the door waving at us and watching us walk around outside. Today, however, this was not the case. The baby was no where in sight, and it worried me a little bit. I hurried the puppy bean along and we came back inside.

When I walked in the door, I saw the little monster standing by the bench with fudge clutched in each of her hands and her mouth bulging with the sweets. The puppy, almost as if he knew what he was going to find, ran to the bowl of fudge and started gobbling as fast as he could. The both protested loudly when I took the fudge away. I would have been angry except that it was pretty funny. Those two will do anything for snacks!

In the photos below, you can see how the little one has learned to use the dog door at my parents place. She leans out and grabs rocks or grass and then comes back in to show off her treasures.

  1. That is hilarious! I like that the Little Bean was the mastermind and the Puppy Bean was the muscle. Be afraid, Mom and Dad, be very afraid!
