The Whole Crazy Family

We recently had formal photos made of the Husband, the Little Bean and myself. Because the Puppy Bean is a CRAZY WILD puppy it wasn't possible to have the dogs in the photo shoot. The baby was difficult enough, the Puppy Bean would have been a disaster.

Since we were all dressed up, we went home after the photos were finished, piled onto the couch and got the dogs up there too. We managed to get one photo that wasn't crazy looking. It is below; our full blown family photo.

Needless to say the professional photos are much better. They are, in fact, amazing. The studio where we had them done was super! The photographer was awesome. He was particularly great with the Little Bean. He had so much patience with her and had her laughing and giggling all over the place. We will show everyone the real photos when we get them. You will just have to make due with our homemade ones for now. :)

Anyway, here is the photo that we took with the crazy dogs. The poor Puppy Bean doesn't look anything like a lab anymore. I guess he is more of a "hound/lab" mix than a "lab/hound." Except for their shiny black coats, he and the Big Bean look nothing alike. We keep trying to figure out what type of hound he is most like. Some say bloodhound, some say daschound, I say dorkfish. What is up with those goofy ears!
We leave tomorrow afternoon/night for the big trip to see the Husband's family, and then after a week there we will drive another 16 hours to see my family. We have taken 6 hour drives with the puppy bean before, but never as long as 16 hours. He doesn't really like it much, because he gets bored, but does okay. We will see how he does for a longer trip. The poor Big Bean is not super happy since she now has to share part of her puppy bed with the little beast. Luckily, she is a saint and shares very well.
