Puppy Stew

I can't believe how big the Puppy Bean is getting!

The Puppy Bean is on "The List" today and is a candidate for becoming puppy stew for supper tonight!

We went for our park walk this morning and all was going well. The Big Bean was playing frisbee, the Little Bean was in the swing and the Puppy Bean was poking around and smelling stuff as he usually does. Then he started to roll. Dog owners know that this is never a good thing. The only time dogs roll around is if they are in snow or if there is something nasty that they think smells wonderful. In this instance, it was the later. The Puppy Bean was rolling in some sort of poop. I won't get into what he did when he was finished rolling, but suffice to say that it was even more disgusting. He was promised a bath when he got home.

Unfortunately, that was not the worst of it. He then went walking into the yard of the house next to the park. I called and whistled, but he just looked at me as though he had had this epiphany that he didn't necessarily have to come when I whistle. Then he had an even better idea. He came when I called, but rather than coming to me, he zipped by me, just out of arms reach. He thought this was pretty funny. He knew it was time to go home and wasn't ready yet. This went on for about 15 minutes. Finally I caught him and leashed him up. His life was threatened and we walked home.

He got his bath and promptly went downstairs to LAY ON THE SOFA IN MY STUDY! The NEW sofa in my study. Everyone is currently taking a nap and I am searching the internet for dog recipes. I think he will be quite tender since he is still so young. :)

  1. You could always do puppy sausage. The daddy loves sausage I'm told.

  2. I don't think you can call him the "Puppy Bean" anymore. More like the Bean Sprout! I can not believe how HUGE he is, and only since Xmas. All of the Mamas good cookin'!
