What They've Been Up To
Some updates
The Puppy Bean:
--Growing super fast
--Likes to be rocked in the rocking chair. He even climbs up there and sits by himself
--Ears allow him to hear 4 things. 1) food hitting the ground 2) the door opening 3) his puppy sister crunching a snack 4) The Husband's truck.
He still has difficulty hearing my voice telling him to come or stop doing something naughty like chewing the eyeballs out of one of the Little Beans toys.
--Loves to lay in the sun spot
--Still manages to wiggle himself under the bed (I am waiting for the day the Husband has to pick up a corner of the bed so he can get out.
--Has discovered that if he runs by and snatches the Little Bean's blankie she will screech and adults will come running. He LOVES this game!
The Little Bean:
--Walking and crawling is about 50/50
--Self-feeding is getting out of control. The child has to change clothes after every meal!
--For the last two days she has chugged her grape juice and then promptly thrown up.
--Can not be rocked to sleep. She insists on being put into her crib and left alone. She plays for a few minutes and then lays down and goes to sleep. (this is bittersweet for us parents)
--Has started to climb things. Not in the traditional way, but she will reach up and grab hold of something (an open drawer) and then pull herself up while looking for footholds with her feet. Then she gets stuck, gets tired and cries for a rescue. It is like she is doing baby pull-ups and training to be a rock climber.
--When asked where her toes are, she looks down to see if they are still there and then grabs hold of her feet to show us her toes. It is super cute. Unfortunately, when asked where her other body parts are, she does the same thing...shows us her toes. In fact, yesterday, I asked her where the Daddy was and she looked straight at the Daddy and then pointed to her toes.
Do all little kids rub their faces when their hands are covered in food? Or is it just my child?
The Big Bean, the Husband, and I are just busy trying to keep up with the crazy ones. That and planning a trip to MARDI GRAS!! I am just a tiny bit excited about this.
This is the cutest photo. She was playing in the floor and when I looked up next she was all snuggled up in the puppy bed.
time to start eating nekked!
