Spring - Positives and Negatives
Spring is definately here. Today, the temperatures were in the 70s and we spent quite a bit of time outside. It was so nice. The Little Bean played around with twigs and sticks and dirt and chaced ants and just had a wonderful time. The Big Bean baked her bones in the sunshine and the Puppy Bean just ran around like a crazy beast as usual.
We had a few surprises today.
1. My tuplips are coming up and we have two beautiful red tulips that have bloomed. I had forgotten that we planted tulips, so it was doubly exciting.
2. Spring brings flowers and cherry blossoms, but it also brings critters. As we were playing outside, I looked up just in time to see a snake darting from the bushes in the front of the house (where the Little Bean was playing) into the garage. It was so panicked that it had a hard time squeezing in under the garage door. That or it ate a big mouse lunch and couldn't squeeze through very easily. Anyway, it didn't worry me too much because it looked like a black snake and it was pretty far from the Little Bean, THEN, I realized that I wasn't wearing shoes. At that point I did the heebie jeebie dance! For whatever dumb reason I get the heebie jeebies when I think about a snake slithering over my bare feet! YUCK!
So I opened the garage door and left it open hoping that our snakey friend would vacate the area. A few minutes later, I walked over to the garage to see if it was still there and I saw a reptilian head and face looking at me, but when I looked more closely, it was just a big lizard. I decided not to go back to the garage for fear that there would be a freaking Komodo Dragon in there next. It appears that we have a reptile zoo in our garage. YEAH!
Because the weather was so nice today, I opened up all the windows that have screens in them to let the fresh air into the house. When I finished opening all the windows, I came back to the living room to find this! Good thing I didn't open the ones without screens, both the Little and the Puppy Beans would have made a break for it!

You are a braver woman than I am. Snakes and Lizards I would be moving...
