Temper Temper

Our little toddler is having a tough time with her temper these days. She gets so frustrated with the littlest things and her response is generally to scream at the top of her lungs! If one isn't in the room when she looses her temper, it sounds as though she is being held over a hot flame.
The only thing more ridiculous is her second favorite temper drama. The Little Bean will fling herself into the floor and do her signature scream! My response is to walk away. This upsets the daughter even more and she drags herself up off the floor and follows me to the next room crying all the way.
These tantrums can be triggered by the most benign things. For example, today she freaked out when I wouldn't let her play on the stairs. Not that she is EVER allowed to play on the stairs, but today for some reason, she felt that it was a terrible injustice. She responded by falling to the floor and crying hysterically.

She saw me open the top of the sorter to get the shapes out and now she has started just opening the top and chucking the shapes into the box rather than bothering with the effort of actually figuring out which shapes go where.
