Beating the Heat

It has been pretty warm these days here at the Bean House. The temps yesterday were in the 90s, but the heat index was about 1,000 degrees. In order to cool off and also to burn off some Little Bean energy, we were all sitting out on the deck, playing in the pool. This pool had been sitting out in the sun all day and the water was nearly boiling. The Big Bean was playing frisbee and when I looked up next, there she was, laying in the pool with her delighted little sister! It was the funniest thing.




Uncle Giant and Auntie K recently sent the baby a sprinkler. She has seen it once before, didn't like getting sprayed, so we put it away for a while. Yesterday, we hooked it up and the Husband held her hand while they ran through the water. It was pretty cute. Well, it was until the husband picked the sprinkler up and started spraying the rest of us while laughing hysterically!


I am not sure why the Little Bean allowed us to put a hairbow in her hair. This is the first time she hasn't yanked it out and then tried to clip it to the dogs, or her shirt, etc. Anyway, this one stuck, and she looks so much like a little girl. Except for her posture, which looks more like a little old man.


I like the expression on her face in this photo! It looks like trouble!
