The Last of Our Beach Photos

These two photos are from Shark's Tooth Beach. I love how we practically had the beach to ourselves. Because the bridge was out, beach goers had to park and take a ferry across the sound to get to the beach. Luckily for us, not that many people were interested in the inconvenience and went to other beaches instead. That left all the sharks teeth for us!

I don't know if it is because I haven't been to the beach in a long time, or if it is because normally our vacations are spent running around 100mph in an effort to see and do everything possible before we leave, but this was the best vacation I have taken in a long time. The activities included lounging on the beach, eating, finding sharks teeth, and more lounging.

The Little Bean loved the liberating feeling of being able to run free on the beach and not being confined to a yard, a deck, or any other specific location. She loved picking up shells, digging in the sand, and running around in the shallow water, but most of all she loved chasing the birds. We would throw old bread or chips out for the gulls and they would all swoop in. The Little Bean loved it. She would chase them, and even point to them and say, "please," as though I would be able to get her one. The toddler period is my favorite by far. I love that she is interacting with the world around her and is so excited by everything she sees. Her easy going personality, and adaptability certainly helps too! :)

When we went to the little store on the island at Shark's Tooth Beach, they didn't have any fresh sandwiches because of the bridge being out, but they had frozen stuff. I got her a peperoni calzone because she would be able to hold it. She ate a lot of it, and got even more of it on her face and tummy. She may have eaten more sand than sandwich though!

In this photo she looks like an old man standing around eating her sandwich. I am not sure what is up with her posture, but it cracks me up.

This is just a random photo, but I like it because we have the whole ocean to ourselves and it reminds me of just how peaceful and wonderful the whole vacation was!
