The Future Career Options Are Wide Open

The Little Bean has turned 20 months! I remember people telling me that their kids were 20 months old and I would inwardly roll my eyes and wonder why they didn't just say that the kid was almost two. Now I know why! They couldn't believe that their baby was almost two years old! I can't believe that my little girl is only a few months away from her second birthday! It is CRAZY.

In accordance with her age she continues to grow and learn at astonishing rates. She picks up on so many words that I am constantly surprised. We went hiking today and saw a bunch of geese. She kept pointing to the field they were in and saying, "geese! geese!" and honking. She had never even seen a goose before and suddenly she was a goose expert. We walked over to the field where they had been and she pointed to the ground and volunteered the information that they had left, "POOP!" Such an observant little thing.

She is also identifying all sorts of other things without provocation, to include buses, birds, cows, flies, bees, babies, etc. She also mimics my exasperated sighs when the Puppy Bean is naughty. She is trying to learn her colors, but right now she calls pretty much everything blue or white, so I am not sure how that is going to work out. She also has a made up name for the Puppy Bean. She calls him Dadoo. He real name is only one syllable and sounds nothing like Dadoo, so I am not sure where she got this new name, but we just go with it. She also calls my mom's bird Tweet Tweet instead of George, so clearly, she has her own ideas of how things should be named.

On the physical development side she loves to "march/stomp" around the house. For a while she was doing the tippy toe walking, but has now moved on to stomping.

While eating a picnic today I made the terrible mistake of throwing some bread to the birds that were hanging around our table. The next thing we knew, the Little Bean was throwing everything she could get her hands on to the birds; bread, apple slices, tortilla chips, her quesadilla, etc. I think she would have thrown her juice up to them if she could have managed it.
I didn't realize just how big the Puppy Bean or Dadoo is until I saw this photo.

Anyway, on to the photos. Last night the Daddy was being funny and acting like he was having a heart attack because I was putting my dishes in the dishwasher. (something he swears I never do) He asked the Little Bean to get the stethoscope and check his heart because he was sure that it had stopped beating. After he was finished being a goof ball, the Little Bean decided that she needed to check her Little Brother's heart too. These are the photos from her little veterinarian moment.
The Little Bean and the Daddy had to discuss their patient's diagnosis! I think they decided that his brain was too small and his heart was too big!
