Daily Photos

Not much happening here these past few days. We are just doing the normal everyday things. This weekend we went for a walk to the swings and saw a yardsale. I had to go back and pick up the Little Tikes folding picnic table. The Little Bean was super excited about it, and she and the Daddy had to have their snack outside on the new picnic table.

In other news, the whole pregnancy thing is getting crazy. For some reason, this pregnancy is going by WAY faster than the last pregnancy. There are a few differences this time and as a result, everyone is convinced we are having a boy.

-- Morning sickness! I didn't experience this with the Little Bean and was fully unprepared for just how horrible it is to feel sick all day for two months! We have finally passed through that little drama, and not a moment too soon!

-- Running. I have been running all during this pregnancy so far, and it is a totally different experience. It drives the husband a little crazy that in a short 3 mile run, we have to stop about a million times for me to leap into the bushes and take care of business! Yesterday, I wrapped the lower belly area with an ace bandage in order to reduce some of the bouncing, and the ligament aching, and it really worked. I think if I continue to run as the baby and the belly get bigger, I will have to get one of those belts that help support to bump with all the bouncing. Not to mention new shorts, shirts, etc. Yesterday it seemed like my clothes were shrinking!

-- Sweets! Unlike when I was pregnant before, I have no serious craving for sweets. Pickles, on the other hand are a big favorite. Aunt Tic Toc made her own kosher dill pickles this year and gave me a big jar of them. I will have to get a refill soon, as I have eaten almost the entire jar!

--Kicking! I felt the baby kick about a week earlier than I felt the Little Bean wiggling around. This baby has been really wiggly and kicks pretty often. I would normally look forward to the Husband being able to feel the kicking, but last time it sort of freaked the husband out.

--The Little Bean! Last time, we only had to worry about how the Big Bean would take to the baby, but this time, we have to worry about our little girl. I am SOOO nervous about how things will go with a new baby. Luckily we still have five months to get used to the idea. I remember how hard it was when we came home with the Little Bean and the crying, sleep deprevation, and general stress involved in having a brand new baby, then i think about adding to the equations, not only a two year old Little Bean, but also a year old giant clumsy goof puppy and I am so nervous!

-- Showing! All I can say is that the "belly" sort of snuck up on both the husband and I! He looked at me one day and say, "WHOA! Look at the huge bump!" So, I am not sure if I am showing earlier than before, or if we have just not noticed every single little change like we did with the Little Bean. Here is a photo of the rapidly increasing bump!
No Mocking Please!

  1. First off, please tell that boy that one should never, ever, ever use the word HUGE when talking to a pregnant woman. It could result in serious bodily injury. Secondly, I can totally relate to your experience. My second pregnancy went so much faster than the first and her first year FLEW by.
