Christmas Presents

Because Christmas time will be very busy for us, we went ahead and gave the Little Bean some of her presents. We kind of made it more like Chanukah than Christmas by giving her a new present every night for the past few nights, just without a Menorah and with a Christmas tree instead. :) It doesn't matter to the Bean, she doesn't know or understand or even care, she just hears the words present or surprise and gets super exited. Anyway, the Husband had to change the oil on the truck last night and because the Little Bean loves to help him, we gave her her gift of a tool box. It is all plastic and toys of course, but it came with a hammer, screw drivers, wrenches, and even a saw and a piece of wood. The word "excited" doesn't even begin to describe how she felt about her tool box. She got all dressed up to go outside and carried her toolbox with her. Once she got outside, she lay all her tools out under the front of the car and crawled underneath with her father. It was the cutest thing ever. She was so totally serious about getting that oil changed that it wasn't even like playing, it was all about mission accomplishment! After they were finished with the oil change (a ten minute job that takes about 45 when the baby helps) she insisted that her tools be stored in the garage with her father's tools. I anticipate that the next time something breaks she will charge out to the garage to get her tools so she can "fix 'em!"
