Fish Tank - Final Phase Complete

Last night was a big event for the Little Bean. We went to the "fish house" also known as Petsmart and bought four fish and one snail. After lengthy discussions with the fish guy we settled on two black mollies, two red platys, and one black mystery snail. The fish are active and easy to see so the Little Bean enjoys watching them swim around. They have been named Pete, Pete, Moe, Moe, and 007. The Little Bean was so excited at the store that she actually embraced the fish tanks and exclaimed, "I love fish!" There was also a great deal of jumping up and down in uncontainable glee while watching the fish guy catch our fish. I think he thought our whole family was a little strange. The next burst of uncontainable excitement came when it was finally time to let the fish out of their bags and into the tank. The 30 minute wait for the water to temps to acclimatize was not easy for our two year old. The Little Bean stood in her chair and squealed with delight as each fish swam into the tank. She repeatedly asked, "What doing? What doing?" while pointing at the fish. She was really enchanted by 007 and wanted to know why he wasn't swimming around with the other fish. We now have a new routine added to the day that allows the Little Bean to feed the fish their supper and turn out their light right before she goes to bed. She liked this and was excited about helping the fish go "night night." This morning she woke up and gave the fish some breakfast, turned on their light, and told them, "Good morning" and watched them for a really long time.
