Evenings on the Common

With the sun staying up later and later in the afternoon, we are able to pop up to the common and take a little walk after naps.  The day these photos were taken we were a bit later than normal and were losing the sunshine pretty fast.   The photos are grainy because we had to lighten them up.

The rule with mud puddles is that the kids can only jump in them on the way back to the car.  When we made it to the little glen and both kids started splashing away it became the turn around point.

slugging through the mud on the way back to the car.  Once they got there they found a whole new pile of mud puddles and were wet with stinky mud water from head to foot. (literally; Hank even had mud in his hair.)  Needless to say, they went directly to the shower.

Soph is always our point guy.  She loves reading the signs and deciding which trail to follow.

We have all learned that when we hear that crazy Cash coming to move to the edge of the trail and slightly bend the knees.  Sometimes he is going too fast to avoid obstacles!  :)
