The Weekend

Here is a photo of me driving the rental car. The kids are in the back and the husband was preparing to fold himself into the passenger seat! This is what you get when you are cheap like us. :)

We made it to the weekend and now we have two days to explore the area and do tourist stuff! Yesterday we went to see Stonehenge and it was really impressive. The husband's predecessor said he thought it was just a pile of rocks on the side of the road. I guess everyone has their own opinion about it. We thought it was really awesome.

It was also really cold and windy. The Little Bean decided to wear her jacket after we had been there for a few minutes but could never be convinced to put sweatpants or leggings on under her dress...even though her knees were blue/purple. THEN she decided to wear my fleece shirt. She looks pretty goofy but seemed warm enough.

The Baby Bean was all bundled up in his little bundler thing and was rather content. UNTIL he wanted to get down and crawl around. The fact that the ground was wet and the bundler thing wouldn't let him move freely meant that he was a cranky little bug. The only cure was to repeatedly throw him up in the air and catch him. This was quite difficult to do while attempting to listen to the audio tour. I am pretty sure I missed some important information. :)

What it used to look like.

We are looking forward to visiting this site many more times as we take our visitors to see it. GET YOUR PASSPORTS!

  1. Hi all,
I am glad everyone made a safe journey to merry ole England. I like the Stonehenge photos. I just read a book called Stonehenge, 2000 B.C. by Bernard Cornwell. Of course it is a fictional novel, but it was really interesting. You'll have to read it sometime. Let me know when you get a "real" address because I might want to send Sophie a birthday present! Take care and stay safe. Patty (pcgreany@ehc.edu)
