The Third Birthday

Today was the Little Bean's 3rd birthday! We were super excited. The Little Bean had been telling anyone who would listen that her birthday was coming up and she was going to be three for the past month! This was the first year that she really understood what was going on. This was her special day and we did our best to make it special.
I am fully aware that I went a little overboard with this birthday but I felt so bad for the little bug since her father, brother, and I were the only ones attending her birthday. In the weeks leading up to the big birthday she asked me repeatedly if Nahla was coming for her big day or Uncle Kelley or Uncle Giant or Pap, or Tic Toc and Sugar, etc etc etc. She had a hard time understanding that we live too far away. So to make up for it, I got a little silly with her cake and balloons and whatnot.
This is the Little Bean when she woke up from her nap and her and Daddy walked into the living room and saw the set up. I love her sleepy face.
As soon as she sat down at the table she promptly put on the special hat and picked a sugar heart from the cake!
After we blew out the candles and cut the cake she decided to reenact the scene of the cake. Prince Daddy saving the Princess from the tower! The Little Bean thinks all princes are Prince Daddy. When she opened one of her presents and it was Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid, she squealed with excitement and shouted, "Prince Daddy!!"
Speaking of Prince Daddy, he was busy eating the tower. That is one way to save the princess.
One of the dresses she received. Sadly the dress was declared itchy and was quickly disgarded in favor of the Snow White Dress.
She kept pointing out that she was just like Cinderella in the movie when she had to lift up her dress in front in order to walk.
Happy Birthday Princess Bean!
