So There Me Was...
This is how my daughter started her story to tell me how she got a bruise. The story continued with a "So there me was, running! Then, CRASH! I hit the door!" This is all said with a VERY dramatic re-enactment of the bruise aquiring accident. This is my daughter, the most dramatic kid I have ever seen. Nothing is just plain or boring to her, there is always a story about EVERYTHING that involves high drama. I have NO idea where she gets this from. *wink*wink*.
Back to our Scotland adventure. This is the last Scotland post as we left after spending time in Edinbourgh. We stopped at Hadrian's Wall on the way home. That was really really impressive! It takes six days to walk from one end to the other.
Highland cows are the hairiest cows I have ever seen!
Edinbourgh Castle sit on top of one of two extinct volcanoes in this part of Scotland. The other extinct volcano is the site of Arthur's seat. Not sure what Arthur's Seat is, but that is what they call it.
People generally climb to the top to see the view of the city of Edinbourgh. So we started our day with a climb up the hill/crags/whatever you call them.
Upon arrival at the top of Arthur's Seat the Little Bean celebrated by jumping around in the ever present mud puddles. On the border of Scotland and England was a blacksmith shop. It is the historical place where young English couples would run away an elope. We thought we would get a photo of anvil where many of the couples got married.
By the end of the day the Little Bean was pretty tired. Hiking to the top of Arthur's Seat and then touring King Street and Edinbourgh Castle really wore her out.
A very funny street performer.
Not sure what the used to sell on this close!
YOU ARE TALL IN THAT PICTURE! I am so proud. And love the Baby Beans squirrely look with his "eloping" parents but love the smarmy look of the Little Bean with bagpiper the best!
