The End of an Era

We spoke to the people at the airport today and were sad to recieve the information that the Little Bean's backpack has not been turned into the lost and found. The guy said that if they do not recieve it in 48 hours iti is unlikely to ever be turned in.

The Little Bean is not nearly as upset as her Father and I are. Maybe because she doesn't quite get it yet. She knows it is lost and she knows that her Blue Blankie is lost as well. She was able to sleep without it and even used an old pink blankie last night. She told me that she was going to pretend it was her blue one. Poor little bug.

So the Little Bean is no longer a "Linus." I guess it was going to happen sooner or later...

In other news, she has learned to pedal her dora big wheel! Steering isn't her strong point, but this will come too!

The Baby Bean has surprised us all by deciding that he no longer needs, wants, or will tolerate being shown a bottle. This happened all of a sudden and we were all taken a bit off guard. I know it is time to start weaning him from the bottle, but I didn't know the boy had been reading the "What to Expect" books too.

We took the pups to the beach today and a FANTASTIC time was had by all. The dogs ran and played and jumped and leapt and swam and splashed and were generally crazy! The kids too. Unfortunately, I left the camera in the car so we have no photographs. I do have about a million pictures from the birthday and other stuff during our trip to the US. Hope to get those up tonight.
