Ice Road Beany Truckers

The pond out front has been a little bit frozen in the mornings lately.  The ice in only an inch or two thick and it is fun to break it up.  This morning Daddy took the kids out to drive their tonka trucks on there to see if they could get across without falling through the ice.

After the first trip across was uneventful they decided to crack the ice a little bit to make it less stable!  The truck still didn't break through.
Not sure what Hank was thinking to do with the net, but he was having a great time.
Daisy girl got bored with the game and couldn't be bothered to watch the drama any longer.

After numerous attempts to destabilize the ice and cause the truck to fall in, Sophia finally resorted to stomping on the ice to break it.
The truck never did fall into the ice.  Maybe we need to weigh it down with a heavy load next time or even use the big tonka dump truck.  We could load it up with rocks and make it super heavy.  Not sure who enjoyed this ice game more, the kids or the parents!

unrelated to the post above, I wanted to share a little bit of a conversation Soph and I had the other day.
Me:  Sopha, do you know where pearls come from?
Soph:  Yes.  If you want pearls, you have to go to the fields and find rabbit poop.  You take the rabbit poop home and heat it in the oven until it is dry and then paint it.  Then you have pearls.
We have NO idea where she got this crazy idea but it is funny!
