After talking to Auntie K, who has been researching dog diabetes, we thought it would be a good idea to take Daisy out for PT after each meal. Along with her insulin, a little walk has gotten her glucose down as low as we have seen it since this whole thing started. It is still pretty far from our goal, but it takes time to figure these things out.
The upside to this is that everyone had an awesome time out walking.
The kids really enjoyed our morning walk. Hank was so excited at the beginning of the hike, showing us leaves and pine cones.
Because we are weird, we have to climb on tree branches and pretend we are possums and or sloths, depending on who is telling the story.
We also tried to show Sophia how to swing from vines.
The branch hung over the trail and was super fun to hang from.
