HERBIE AND HARVEY

The kids had the most fun the other weekend when we were puppy sitting.  Herbie is on the left and he loves loves loves the soccer ball. 

Hank played outside with Herbie FOREVER!

Soph had a really great time with him too.

In this photo, I am not sure if Soph is protecting her brother from getting knocked over, or pushing him out of the way so she can kick the ball.  I would like to believe she is protecting him.

Herbie is nearly the perfect dog.  Daisy is really the perfect dog, but Herbie is really close.  He is a whippet/lurcher/border collie mix.  He loves to play like a border collie, but he is so easy and gentle and mellow like a greyhound.  He was so sweet with the kids and so gentle.  I tried to get Ms. H and Mr. J to leave him with us FOREVER, but I think they like him or something.

Harvey is a big dork.  Like his puppy brother, he is gentle and sweet with the kids.  Unlike Herbie, Harvey demands love and affection.  Sophie liked this about him and was really happy when Harvey curled up and slept with her the entire night.  The dorky dog has a bit of a Napoleon complex.  He is little and tries to be the top super alpha dog.  He even had Cash buffaloed into letting him do whatever he wanted.  Daisy was ambivalent and couldn't be bothered to acknowledge their presence.
