Ballerina School

After ages and ages and ages of Sophia asking us to go to "ballerina school" we finally agreed to let her go.  I was always worried that it would be to boring for her and would not have enough jumping, flipping, and general craziness to keep her intersted.  I was proved wrong.  To be honest, there isn't much flipping, but there is enough fun, drama, and tip toe running around the room to keep her completely enchanted with the whole idea of ballet.
She didn't have the correct ballet costume, but thanks to "Great" Aunt P, she had a perfectly servicable pink ballet outfit that served her well and kept her from feeling uncomforatable or standing out too much.

The teacher at the school is a wonderful blend of stern serious ballet instructor, and dramatic, flamboyant, dancer and story teller to keep the kids interested and eager to please.
Sophia took to her first class like a little fish to water.  She picked up on the movements beautifully and even earned an impressed, "well done" from the teacher.  She was so very proud.

Many of her movements were very bouncy and bubbly but so is her personality, so it matches.

The above photo is of them running around like butterflies.  I have a feeling we will be going back again next week so I guess I will have buy her the proper blue costume.  Hank-o is still in gymnastics, wish Soph was, but we can't afford to send them to every class.  She chose ballet this term, so we will just have to see how it works out.  Maybe Hank will want to do ballet next term too!  :)
