The Field Journal

Hank the Tank loves the ipad.  He insists that it always his turn!  His favorite game is "Angy Burds"

The Baby Bean show zero interest in his sister's seed plant project.  Angy Burds are way cooler than some dirt and little seeds.

Sophia made one of her million field journals.  This one was created to document the seeds she and Daddy planted in these little plastic pots.

She was pretty excited about the prospect of growing her own beautiful flowers and even wrote the type of flower on the little stick all by herself.

She also wrote the type of flower on the plastic ice cream container too.

Then she began her journal.  It started out with a drawing of her planting the seeds.

She wrote the types of seeds she had planted.  We informed her that she should leave the journal for a little while until she could draw her next picture of the seeds starting to come up.  This didn't work out and she started drawing pictures of horses in the field journal.  Brand new five year olds find it hard to wait until seeds sprout before filling up their field journal.
