Green Green
Today was a bit more relaxed and quiet. Both the Grandparents were working, so we had a quiet day to ourselves. The little bean's 'great' aunt stopped by and brought her a fancy pink bathing suit with this super cute tutu on it. (pictures of that to come) We dressed her in the new bathing suit to see if it fit, but after just a minute of having it on, her diaper leaked and covered her new little bathing suit with pee. Do you see why I buy her second hand clothes now. :)
I realized when I arrived in the area that it has been a long time since I have been at home during the summer. I was just shocked at how green it is here. Maybe I forgot what it was like here in the summer after living in the desert. Everytime I go outside, the greenness of the area just blows me away. Green grass, green trees, amazing fields of hay waiting to be cut. Everything just looks so healthy and lush. Maybe I have been living in the desert for too long. There are so many little animals and bugs and whatnot running around everywhere too. Yesterday and today, the little bean, the big bean, my parents dogs, and I were outside sitting in the yard
and we saw so many different critters running around. A groundhog, inch worms, loads of birds, beetles, a super speedy black snake, a little green toad, and the resident frog up near the watering trough (picture to the left). It was amazing that the area is so full of life. The desert has an amazing amount of life for the inhospitable landscape, but it is just nothing compared to here.
