Flying Bean

Have I mentioned that the Little Bean is just like her father? Oh, I have?! Well, forgive me if I have to say it one more time. During our trip home, the Little Bean proved yet again that she is her father's daughter. Seriously, if I weren't the one who carried her for nine months, I would believe that she is her father's clone. Of course, I don't know if you can make a female clone of a man, but whatever, you get my point.

Example 1: Just like her father, she hates sitting in the terminal. She gets very bored very quickly and needs to be entertained.

Example 2: Just like her father, the second we get on the plane and find our seat, she immediately goes to sleep only to wake up as we land.

It was amazing. When we would walk up to the terminal and she would be whining and fussing. I could see the reaction of the people at the gate. It was the same reaction that I had when I was flying back when I was just a dog mother and a crying baby came to the terminal. A reaction that said, "Darn my luck! I didn't want to sleep on this flight anyway." Then the reaction from our seatmates when we went to sit down was even more obvious. I could actually see the wheels in their heads turning as they devised ways to escape what was sure to be The Flight From Hell.

Imagine my relief when my little angel (ha!) immediately went to sleep and slept through the entire flight. She was so fabulous. The time that she was awake, she was super cute and cooed at the other passengers and was generally her sweet little self. Thank goodness.

Now we just have to get through the flight back. AND the flights to see the Grandparents up north later this month. Hopefully she will give a repeat performance, with the exception of the drama at the security line.
Pictures tomorrow!
