Road Trip - Day ?? It is all a blur
We got to Yosemite today and drove around the park looking at everything. We settled into our campsite only to discover that there were no electrical hook-ups. This was an issue, but became more of one as the afternoon wore on and the cold settled in. Then it became a huge issue as it started to snow. During the night, RVs are not allowed to run their generators, which meant we couldn’t run the heater. Instead, we snuggled the whole family into the bed including the Big Bean. No one slept very well and we were all super cranky the next morning. Until we looked outside and saw the gorgeous snow.
While the rest of us were a bit cranky about the cold weather, the Big Bean thought it was the best thing EVER and ran around kicking up her heels and playing in the snow.
Before going to sleep, we poked around the area and found that we could build a fire. The Husband was super excited as this was the first campsite that allowed fires. He couldn’t wait to build a big fire, cook his burgers and dogs, smoke a cigar, and drink a beer. He was in camping heaven…until it started to snow and the wind started whipping all over the place.
We also had to stop at a store to get some things for the Little Bean. While in there, we got a pair of funny glasses. Doesn’t the baby look great! Later, there will be some of the Husband wearing them. He wore them around in PUBLIC!!!

Are you shocked that the now scruffy Husband would wear such a thing in public?!!!! Love the Beans' photo -- hopefully she doesn't become cross eyed.
ReplyDeleteAnd you are now forever banished from telling stalking black bear stories!
By the way, the History Channel is starting a series called "Hillbilly" otherwise known as the "tale of the hollers from the 1700s to today." Gotta watch! And I'll be on the look out for those fiendish, stalking blood thirsty, blackberry eating holler bears, as I'm told they definitely exist. - MJ
