Happy Halloween!

Halloween has been a pretty busy day for us. We received our household goods shipment yesterday so today was spent unpacking boxes and trying to figure out where we want to put things. The Husband also put together the Little Bean's very first wagon! She loves it. We took a test drive out to the park to see if she would ride in it or if she would try to climb out. Luckily, she was happy to sit in there, hang on to the edges and watch the world go by.

As it turns out, the Puppy Bean seems to like riding in the wagon as well. Since he is so little, he can't make it to the park and back without getting really tired. I thought I would put him in the wagon and expected him to jump out (like every other dog in the world). Nope, not this crazy pup. He sat in the wagon looking out like a prince riding in a palanquin. Pound dog? I think not. He clearly came from royal blood. :)

We had a whole pile of trick or treaters tonight. The Puppy Bean had to be put in seclusion because he was a bit of a flight risk. Every time we opened the door to hand out candy, he took off into the yard. He was put upstairs in his kennel where he loudly complained of his perceived injustice.

The Little Bean dressed up like a unicorn for the holiday. Her sister went as a daisy. Below are photos of the Beans tick or treating.

In addition to this being the Little Bean's first Halloween, it was also an occasion as she was allowed a first sucker. She wasn't too impressed with the whole trick or treating thing, but she certainly excited about that sucker. It was pretty funny to see just how much concentration was spent on one little 'dum dum' sucker. It was NOT funny, however, to listen to her fit of hysterics as the sucker dared to dwindle down and then disappear!

  1. Is the beer really necessary for trick or treating? Classy.

  4. Such an adorable unicorn. My hubby would definitely like trick-or-treating a whole lot more if someone handed him a beer ;)

  6. And the loveliest of them all was the unicorn...I don't have an Irish accent, but you get the idea. She is so cute , now we know what to get her for her birthday - a bag of suckers. Hours of entertainment! -K
