Time Flies...

The Little Bean and the Puppy Bean are already a team of trouble-makers.

It is impossible for me to believe that the Little Bean is almost a year old. Where did the time go? She is just getting so big so fast. Her legs are so long, she isn't looking like a baby anymore. She is looking like a toddler now and I don't think I like it! I want my baby back! :) I think I might cry at her first birthday party.

The Husband and I were talking about how big she is. He reminded that on our first cross country trip with her, he change her diaper on his lap, while sitting in the driver's seat. That is clearly not an option anymore! It is hard enough to change her diaper in the car at all!

I remember a few months ago when she would learn one big thing like sitting up or pulling to standing and it was a huge deal. Now, she is learning new things at such a rate that I can not keep up. She is clapping her hands, climbing, pointing, and mimicking everything we do. If you comb her hair and then hand her the comb she tries to comb her hair too. Of course, she really just smacks herself in the head repeatedly with the comb, but she is trying to make those motions.
She is always doing this headstand thing. This is the first time we managed to get a photo of it. Goofy kid!

It is just crazy to me how quickly she is learning so many things. She has started saying, "Uh-oh," when she drops things. She will drop it, look down, and say, "uh-oh." Then she will look at us like we need to pick the object up so she can do it again. So, can "uh-oh" be a first word? If not, I am pretty sure her first word will be the Big Bean's name. She makes a sound that is really similar to the Big Bean's name when she is petting (beating) her.

Still no progress on the walking front. She seems to be pretty happy cruising all over the place and speed-crawling when she is in a big hurry. She stands up with no support every once and a while. I think she is way to busy to do something as slow and labor intensive as walking! I am sure that it will come soon enough. Too soon for me. :)
She was aggravating the Puppy Bean while he was taking nap. He doesn't seem really annoyed though. In fact, I don't think he even woke up.

  1. That was a very emotional post, it makes me sad too that she is such a big girl. But at the same time she is so much fun (trouble), more so than when she was little and squirmy. I can't wait for xmas...talk about a zoo. Love, K.
