New Orleans
Here is my little girl with her gran and her aunt walking around the French Quarter and Burbon Street. It was a bit chilly so she was all bundled up! As you guys probably know, the girl is obsessed with "kitty kitties!" She has chased this kitty around the house and was so excited when she found her in the chair.
Yesterday we had an awesome time wandering about New Orleans. We went to the aquarium, to Jackson Square, poked around the French Quarter, and then had ate at a cajun restaurant that had live music and watched all the locals dancing.
It was super cool and the Little Bean was so very good. She got a bit cranky at the aquarium while we were watching the sea lions and their training. She also got a bit grumpy when we were at the restaurant. That was quickly relieved when the music started up and her Aunt took her to the dance floor. She just loved the music and the dancers. She was even watching their feet. It was super cute. It appears that she loves shrimp, red fish, and other cajun specialties.
OH, and we went to Marie Laveau's Voodoo museum. It was pretty weird and had all sorts of creepy things all over. I don't mind looking at the voodoo stuff, but I don't want to mess around with it too much. It just creeps me out a bit. It is even more creepy that the "religion" (is that the correct word?) is still currently practiced in the area. I think a cursory peek is enough for me.
We also went to Le Cafe Du Monde and had coffee and beignet. I think that is sort of a required stop while in New Orleans.
All in all it was pretty cool. The French Quarter is particularly intersting. The archetecture is super cool and beautiful.

Be on the lookout for little dolls with gold necklaces...
