Rain Rain Go Away

It has been super cold, raining and nasty weather for the past two days. No running, no long walks, and no park. The children (both four and two legged) are getting antsy. I have thrown away about a hundred (3) dog stuffed animals . The two doggy beans have been taking their energies out on the toys and each other by playing roughly with their toys.

The Little Bean surprised me today. She is trying to cut two more molars and they have been giving her a really hard time lately. Since the Bean was born, I have discovered that popscicles cure all ills. Well, all ills related to mouth pain. Whether it is teething, a biten tounge, or a cut mouth from falling and hitting the coffee table, popcicles are the cure! Who knew. Anyway, I gave her a popscicle after supper and as she was eating it, I ate my supper. She saw me eating some steamed snow peas and asked for one. After the first one, she ditched her popscicle and ate snow peas instead. I know that this will end as she gets older and more difficult, but I am enjoying it right now.

The photo is of the Husband and the sleepy Puppy Bean. He (the puppy) can sleep through anything. Sometimes he will be sleeping in the living room and the Little Bean will go to see him. I follow closely because sleeping dogs make me a bit nervous when little girls are going to aggravate them. She pulls his ears, opens his mouth, and pets him with her someone violent petting actions. He opens one eye, rolls over and continues to sleep. It is the strangest thing. He is one strange dog.

Speaking of strange. His new habit is that he has taken to getting into the bathtub. He gets so excited when the baby is having her bath in the evenings. I actually have to bar his way to the tub or he will jump in with her. He jumps in, laps up a couple of drinks of water, then leaps out and runs all over the house. This morning, (i guess because he was bored) he got into the bathtub when there was no water. He was just in there walking around. But he won't splash in the creeks outside. The Gran thinks it is because the outside water is so cold and he has such a delicate constitution. I think he is just a wierdo!
