Valentines's Day Irony

We went hiking today. Here is a photo of the family as we set off.

As many of you know, the Husband lost his wedding ring last month while raking leaves in our yard. He was pretty upset and we sat in the garage and went through too many bags of leaves to count. It was crazy. We also spent quite some time walking around a certain area in the yard where he was working. Sadly, we came up empty handed.

The lost ring was commented on numerous times and it was all very sad. For Valentine's Day I had a GREAT idea. I bought a metal detector and hid it away where the husband would never find it. Then I spent a ridiculous amout of time searching the area in the yard and digging a few oles in an effort to find the ring. My efforts were in vain as I found nothin but nails, giant staple things, and other trash. I finally gave up and just gave the metal detector to the husband for Valentine's Day with my sad confession of failed searching.

After searching for a while with the husband. He was detecting and I was digging. We found nothing. SOOOOO we came inside and I decided to do a little bit of research. Guess what I found out.
TITANIUM is NOT picked up by metal detectors! All of my time, money, and efforts were FUTILE!
