The Candy Wars

We have put all of the left over Easter candy in a dish on the bar in the kitchen. Today, just before her nap, the Little Bean indicated that she wanted a snack. I put her in her highchair and gave her some papaya and a fork. She pointed to the candy in the kitchen and grunted. When I told her that she could not have any candy and should eat her papaya, she threw her fork at me and started crying. Snack time ended and she was taken upstairs for her nap. Little girls who need naps can be pretty naughty sometimes.

Her latest trick is to "apologize." Whenever she hits the dog or smacks me and I tell her that it is rude and she should not hit, she walks over with this goofy fish face and gives me a kiss and a hug. It is sort of cute. The Husband says it is her "get out of jail free card." Maybe she really is a decepticon.

She is also pretty bossy about how she wants to play. She LOVES playing farm. The only problem is that she doesn't like playing alone. When you play farm, you must lay in the floor, she will drag the farm over to you and put it on your stomach, then she will climb on top of you and sit on your chest while playing with the farm. If you put the farm on the floor, the whole process begins again. I am not sure why she insists on sitting on us but we accomodate her and play farm her way. It is also fun to tease her sometimes. She insists that all the doors on the farm be closed at all times, unless putting animals in or out. It is pretty fun to open the doors when she isn't paying attention and watch her as she scrambles to close them all again. She is so determined and serious about it.
