Reptile Farm

I have decided that someone who lived in this house before us had some sort of a reptile collection that was released into the wild. Everytime I go outside, I see a new lizard or snake. I have counted at least four different lizards and one snake.
1. dirt brown lizard that runs really fast (see photo one)
2. black lizard with long white stripes
3. brown salamander looking critter (see photo two)
4. (my favorite) brown lizard with bright blue tail.

Maybe the snake hangs around hoping to eat one of the lizards. I never realized that so many reptiles could live around a house in the a moderately humid climate. I was under the impression that when we left the desert, we had left the lizards behind. Apparently, I was wrong.

The Little Bean continues to torture her siblings. It is amazing that they put up with so much from her. I think they really believe that she is the alpha in our pack. Yesterday, she had a bag of chewy bones and she handed each dog a big chewy bone. Then after about a half a second, she took her bag and gathered up all the bones. The poor pups, gave up their bones without complaint, but then started to follow their sister around, much to her delight. Then she would stop and give them bones, then stop and take them back. This lasted for about 15 minutes until I took the bag and the bones, put the pups outside with bones, and distracted the Bean with an exciting game of FARM! I guess it is fair for her to aggravate them, since they are always knocking her over, stepping on her, and pushing her down.

On a different note, the Husband was outside all day yesterday and pulled over 20 ticks off. When he got home last night, we found an additional three, and then this morning, I had a tick on me! It is only APRIL! What is going one!?!?!?
Enjoy the lizard pics, I will try to put some Little Bean photos up soon.
