Rough Night
The Little Bean is now officially fever free! We all had a really rough night. Before we went to bed, her fever spiked up to 104, even though she was taking medicine. She was lethargic and just lay pitifully in my lap. After the last episode with the seizure, both the Daddy and I were pretty nervous, so we let her sleep with us. This was especially helpful, since she had to get medicine every four hours.
Needless to say it was a long night. She would wake up crying hysterically, but was still basically asleep. She also started vomiting. This was a first for us. Unfortunately, I was holding her when it started and received the bad end of the whole vomiting episode. Yuck.
Another disconcerting issue was her breathing. Every time she exhaled, it sounded like she was grunting. I don't know what that means, but when she finally went to sleep, she relaxed and the grunting stopped. It was quite strange.
Miraculously, at around 0630, our little girl was fever free and sleeping soundly. This morning she was ravenous and ate almost an entire piece of french toast that the Daddy made. He also delivered some french toast to me while I lay in bed. What a great daddy!
So, we are all feeling much better today! Hopefully this will last for a while. Sickly smurf bean wears me out!
pictures to come.
