Hiking

The family, plus M and J, went on a nice long hike today. We had a great time! The hike was supposed to be 7.6 miles, but it didn't feel like it. It felt more like 5 mile mark, maybe a little more. The Little Bean had a great time and rode on the Daddy's back. I don't know how he carried her the whole way, but I think he started to get tired around the last mile or so. I was doing fine as I had carried the food and drink. The farther we hiked, the less food and drink there were to be carried!

This morning when the Little Bean woke up, I brought her back to our bed, where, upon my getting up, both dogs had snuggled into my spot. While we were all sitting in the bed, the Little Bean was playing all over the place. She was giving her Daddy, all sorts of kisses and hugs. She has started doing a new thing when she gives kisses. She makes this sound of "Mmmwwwaaa! It is super cute. She has also started to put her face in her hands when she gets frustrated. That is also cute! She has also become obsessed with the word, "eat." She says it all the time and is continually surprised when we give her snacks in response. So far her sign language vocabulary includes, juice/milk, eat, candy, more, and finished. Of course, she knows the actual words to most of those, but she still signs constantly.

She is also so much more aware of her surroundings lately. She will stop and watch a lady bug crawl along forEVER. Then later the same day or the next day, she will remember the ladybug and run over to where she saw it and look for it. I love it. It is so much fun to be her mom! Exhausting, but fun!
