The Evils of Eye Teeth Eruption

The poor Little Bean is still STILL getting her eye teeth in. She has one fully in on the bottom and the two top ones are breaking through as we speak. The other bottom one has only resulted in swollen gums so far. The poor kid is in a constant state of 99 degree fevers alternating with sweatiness, and for the past week, a very cranky disposition!

She has also been sleeping a great deal and is back to taking two naps a day. I didn't put her down for the second nap the other day and she was so overtired that by the time it was night she was literally running in circles around the Puppy Bean and squealing at the top of her lungs!

She is also indicating that she isn't particularly impressed with art. Whenever given art supplies, she draws for a minute, then is way more interested in taking the top off and putting it back on, or putting the supplies in and out of the box. She is more interested in why and how the things work rather than just drawing a picture.

Note for other parents of toddlers: Do NOT buy Lucky Charms until your child is old enough to eat all the cereal rather than just demanding marshmallows!

We went to the park today and it was pretty hot and humid! The poor Big Bean got so hot playing frisbee that she had to get into the baby pool when we got home. In fact, she was so hot that she dropped her frisbee two times on the way home and left it! I can only imagine that it was inhibiting her panting and cooling off, but this is SUPER rare for the Big Bean. She must have really been hurting! Poor old girl. We went for a run yesterday and it was even hotter and more humid than it was today but there are tons of water holes and creeks on our run and she would lay in them and then sprint to catch up with us. I guess that kept her from overheating.
