Explosion of Learning

The Little Bean's learning has taken off at a crazy rate. Here are a few of her new things.

-- She is suddenly employing about a million new words a day! Okay, so maybe not that many, but the daily learning curve is unbelievable.

-- She has made up a new sign language sign. When she wants her blankie she rubs her cheek with her palm. It is crazy because she came up with it all by herself and had to show us on three or four seperate occasions before we figured out what she was doing.

-- She is getting bossy! When one of us is vaccumming, she is pointing out the dirty spots! She also gets upset when the Puppy Bean destroys a toy and leaves stuffing everywhere. She will either say "uh-oh" over and over until we pick it up or she will get it herself and throw the stuffing away.

-- Today she was playing with the Daddy with a shape sorting toy. She had the right shape, but it was turned so that it wouldn't fit into the toy. Her father told her to spin it around so it would fit. She looks at him, drops the toy, stands up and spins around. Then she picks the toy back up and tries to put it in the box. I almost fell over from laughing.

-- She is also using her words more emphatically. "Please" is not only a word to ask for something, but a DEMAND! She says it quietly and then louder and louder until she is screaming. The same goes for "more" and "up."

-- When she wants any of us from the dogs to the daddy and mama, she pats her leg and makes a fish face. I think she sees us doing that to the dogs and thinks that is the way you get everyone to come to you!

Below are a few photos from yesterday. We went to do a land navigation course and then to a party at our friend M's house. It was a good day, but it was so darned hot that it almost sucked the fun from the land nav course.

I know that I am a complete dork! I just can't help it.

The Little Bean was fed up because we had walked through about a million spiderwebs and it was so so hot.
