Malinki Ibiziana (little monkey)

Our "Little Monkey" is really getting into the imitation game, with both actions and words. She imitates all of our gestures, but mainly, she repeats the last word of pretty much every sentence spoken around or to her.

Words are the biggest thing going on right now. The other day she came to me with dirty hands and said, "Mess Mama!" When she throws her ball she says, "Up!"
This morning it was a little chilly in the house and she was just wearing her pajama pants, she said, "Mama, c'mere!" and then "Cold!" So, I wrapped her up in a blanket. When she plays with her dolls she rocks them and sings to them. Yesterday she cracked me up because she was telling the baby, "No!" and then giving it kisses. I guess that is what she experiences a lot during the day. She is also learning to say excuse me and thank you.

Before this explosion of words, she would only say the words for eyes, ears, nose. Now, all of a sudden, she is saying, knee, mouth, hair, butt, arm, toes, etc. It is amazing how quickly she is picking these things up. Every day she surprises me with something new. We went out to get the newspaper and she declared with glee that we were getting the "MAIL!" Now she insists that she get the mail out of the mailbox every day.

Physically, she must have gotten a bit taller because now she can climb up into her booster seat and also onto our bed, which is really high. Either she has grown or she is just getting smarter about how to climb things. Maybe she will like rock climbing like her mother!

I will try to put up some photos later today. I also want to put up a video of her and the Puppy Bean. They are so funny together. They run around and chase each other and she laughs like a hyena.
