Obsessions

I love this expression. Not sure what it is all about, but it is cute.
The Daddy mowed the yard yesterday, the Daughter mowed the carpet and the kitchen floor today! Just like her Daddy! The color all over her face is the remnants of 2 m&m candies that were not eaten as quickly as they should have been!!
The Little Bean has a number of new obsessions these days. Making the short list are: buses, boats, Finding Nemo, and the song, "Wheels on the Bus." These four things have pretty much taken over our lives.
Another obsession is that of wanting to know where everyone is at all times. The first thing our little girl does when she wakes up in the morning and after her nap is establish the location of everyone in the family. She asks for Daddy, The Big Bean, The Puppy Bean, Granny Gran, Moonshine, and Taco. Once she has established that everyone is where they are supposed to be she immediately demands to watch "Nemo!" I usually let her watch while I fix breakfast. We have all tried to substitute the movie for something else, but she only loves Nemo!
The Nemo obsession is a bit out of control. While sitting in church on Sunday I gave her a packet of Nemo fruit snacks. When she saw the packet she yelled, "NEMO!" Everyone in the church was immediately aware that my daughter was eating Nemo snacks!
Another example of her Nemo obsession is the Daddy's birthday cake. I took her yesterday to order the cake and had the intention of getting a Harley Davidson cake. Then she saw the Nemo cake and the chanting began. Needless to say, the Daddy is getting a Nemo cake for his birthday.
After we ordered the cake, we went to meet Daddy at his work for a quick run. I told the Little Bean that she shouldn't tell him about the cake because it was a secret. Obviously, a 21 month old baby doesn't understand secrets because as soon as she saw her father she started yelling, "CAKE CAKE CAKE!" So much for the secret cake.
