Dramatic Day

We do not have any photos today but we have a nice little story to share! We went to have photos taken for Christmas and were excited about it. The Little Bean looked super cute in her Christmas dress and in her little turtleneck sweater. We set up the appointment for after her nap and she was in a great mood. After we put her dress on she was even twirling around the room and dancing. When we arrived at the studio her good mood continued and she played all over the place with the other little children who were waiting to have their photos taken. Then we waited, and we waited, and we waited. The waiting is what the Husband atributes to the dramatic turn for the worse.

When they finally called us back to do our photo the Little Bean immediately jumped on the express train to Crazy Town. Before we even started taking the photos she started crying for no reason, and it only accelerated from there. She was sobbing all over the place and there were tears and drool and snot running all over the place. The child went from the cutest kid in the place to the most out of control in about half a second. Nothing we did could calm her down to include her blankie, juice, and even the ever beloved CANDY. The candy option actually made things worse because she tried to eat it while crying which resulted in red Starburst juice dripping all down her dress. The efforts to clean it up only resulted in even MORE crying.

They photographer and her assistant managed to get a few smiles out of our poor daughter, but her face was so splotchy from all the crying that the photos turned out terribly. We actually had to leave and make an appointment to come back another day.

Hopefully next time things will go better. If not, we are just going to take our own photos at home!
