Fish Tank - Phase Two

Yesterday and last night the Little Bean helped her father and I finish the fish tank prep. Seriously, this thing is a lot of work. You have to rinse the rocks, plants, and ornament things, check the tank for leaks, fill it with water, rinse the filter and set it up, tape the background on the back, fix the thermometer, treat the water for chlorine, etc then let the whole thing run for 24 hours. The Little Bean enjoyed rinsing the rocks and plants until she was banned from the process because she got a little overzealous and handfulls of rocks fell into the garbage disposal. Ooops!

The Little Bean picked out a little stone turtle at Petsmart yesterday and had a lot of fun watching the water fill up around him. She pretended that the turtle was asking for "more water, please." After the whole thing was all set up she sat at stared at it for a long time insisting that she could see the fish swimming around in there with her turtle. I love her imagination! Tonight we are going to to buy the fish! I hope that this is fun and doesn't turn into a fit throwing event or a Darla episode. Anyone who has seen Nemo as many times as I have been forced to will understand the Darla reference in regards to getting new fish. The Little Bean has already informed me that she will be getting BLUE fish!
