Nahla Visit - Part 1

The day after we got Nahla from the airport we decided to have a free day and rest up from the long flight and the six hour roadtrip to gather her and bring her home.  The only downside to this was that the kids (and maybe me) insisted on dragging the poor tired Nahla around and show here EVERYTHING.
It was still quite early when the children decided they were unable to stay in house any long and talked Nahla into taking them to feed the birds.  They couldn't be bothered to put clothes on and were barely convinced to wear shoes as ran out the door.

Hank has discovered a love for his sister's microfleece robe.  If I had known how crazy he had been for the robe, he would have received one too.  Guess there will be a trip to Sainsbury in our future.  We think he looks like a mini Hef in his red robe!

Nahla was a bit jealous of all the primroses sprouting up in the yard.  She doesn't have a lot of luck with them, but over there the flowers grow like weeds and pop up in the cracks of the rock walls.

As we have been planting and really enjoying the garden and greenhouse, Sophia was super excited and wanted to plant some of the spring bulbs in her "garden." She is so proud of her narcissus and hyacinths.  She has also planted lots of other seeds to include geraniums, impatiens, lobelia, marigolds, and sunflowers.  They are still in the greenhouse, but she has big plans for them in her garden!

Note the poor gnome on the left...Hank has still not gotten over his impulses to knock all gnomes over.  He also likes to pick and sometimes eat the tops off of my grape hyacinths.  Not sure what that is about, but as they are not poisonous and the gnomes are pretty sturdy, we just let it go.
