Nahla Visit - Part 3
As it is springtime we decided to enjoy the pretty weather and see the baby animals. There is a park very near our house called World of Country Life. It is a lovely park with lots to do and lots of animals to see. So we packed the car, grabbed the Nahla, and we were off.
First off, we visited a couple of the resident donkeys. Hank went right up to them to say, "hi." The donkeys were less interested in Hank and more interested in the goat food he was carrying. It looks like the donkey is offering a kiss in exchange for a bite of goat chow.
They were not disappointed as both of the crazies handed over a few bites.
Hank made fast friends with the goats too.
We are not quite sure why Hank was sticking his tongue out at the little goats. Maybe he was mocking and teasing them, trying out a bite of goat chow, or having his tonsils inspected by the goat doctor, whatever the case, all the goats seemed to be very interested.
The was a super elaborate obstacle course that Sophia tackled without a single look back. She was quite impressive with her ability to do the entire thing.
Hank-o found an obstacle for himself.
After holding the owl and eagle, Sophia declared herself to be a "death eagle." Not sure what that meant, but she had a wonderful time running around and screeching all over the park.
She was showing off her wingspan....or something.
She also spent a lot of time hunting her prey (hank). He seemed to think it was fun to be chased around by a screeching death eagle.
We also went to feed the red deer. They were more brown on this day because they had been wallowing in the mud. I am not sure what was happening her, but it certainly looks like Soph is having a stand off with this deer.
Hank left the deer area with a few souvenirs of mud on his face, hands, shirt, etc. It almost looked as though he had been wallowing in the mud with the deer rather than feeding and petting them.
